Who Are You?
In contemporary culture, the search for identity is prevalent and elusive. Prevalent in that so many have undertaken this search, and elusive in that most often wrong standards are employed to do so. All humans have likely inwardly asked “who am I” and the key to answering this question correctly depends upon one’s manner of measurement and assessment. If we follow the path of culture, we head down the road of looking to our accomplishments, our skills, our vocation, and even our failings. However, all of these come up short in the quest to define who we are.
This Sunday we will look to the only standard that counts, the standard of truth contained in God’s holy Word. What does Scripture say about who we are and our identity? Quite a lot we will find out!!
