Sometimes a question can be best answered by posing more questions. That will be the course we take this week as we look more deeply into the question of suffering in our world. We will begin with Job 5:6-7 and Eliphaz’s commentary upon Job’s suffering and by God’s grace and the Holy Spirit’s illumination we will seek to respond to a two-fold question that mankind has sought to understand throughout all of time: Why is there suffering in the world? And does the existence of suffering disprove the existence of an all-good and all-powerful God?
