What Does The Holy Spirit Do?

Nov 16, 2025    Dave Ryerson

This summer I planted a couple of varieties of peppers that aren’t common to the Midwest. Fortunately, we had an extended summer and really warm fall, because I didn’t really start getting peppers until late September and into October. Can you image how disappointing that would have been to start a seed, watch it grow into a plant, and then have it produce nothing? This is a lesson that Jesus taught to his disciples when he cursed a healthy fig tree that wasn’t producing fruit (Matthew 21:18-22). It’s also a lesson for all of us as believers that the work of the Holy Spirit in us is to help us know, grow and go!
