What Is Biblical Forgiveness?

As a pastor, it’s hard looking an individual in the eye that has been hurt by someone else and telling them “you need to forgive that person”. It’s hard for a myriad of reasons:

• What does forgiveness look like?

• Do you have to be friends with that person?

• What if they haven’t asked for forgiveness?

• Are you supposed to forget what they did to you?

That’s just a quick glimpse into the various reasons why forgiveness is hard to do…So what does Biblical forgiveness look like? I’ll be addressing this issue this upcoming Sunday (2/8/26) and I look forward to going through the Bible together to learn more about forgiveness and how ultimately it leads to freedom.
